It’s looking good for a launch of the upgrade of MRP Energy for the existing members.
Performance has been good and it’s quick and easy to do, so we are really pleased to be rolling it out to the members.
Along with the upgrade and to reflect the instrument we now trade, MRP Energy is changing it’s name to “The Diff Code”, so look out for references to this going forward. https://www.tradersbulletin.co.uk/the-diff-code-review#comments

Seven more trades since I last posted 5 wins at £400ea and 2 losses at £510 and £495ea. Making £995 profit overall
I think we are also close to getting an update from Martin that includes variable stops and profits dependent on daily ranges.
This should be rolled out to existing members in the next couple of weeks and the updated manual will be ready for new members soon after.

Mark

43.63% return in the 6 months from Nov 14th to May 13th.
I’m very please with the performance of MRP Energy since I started trading the updated version in Nov.
Trades only take a couple of minutes to place each morning and are set and forget.
Regards,
Mark Rose
P.S. We are finishing the revised manual on this currently (sorry it’s taking so long) and hope to have it available again soon.
Mark Rose
I’m fast approaching 6 months of trading the diffs. Couple more weeks to go!
I reckon I will be close to an annualized 100% return.

Mark,
U say about use of RSI. Does Cap sp have this ?
thanks
Al
Mark Rose
Yes. Open a chart and go to settings.
John
I would be very obliged if some one could advise exactly (inc Figures) how to place the trade c/w a trailing stop. Thanks, John.
Glenn
Thanks Mark.
Glenn
Red does mean Sell right?
Glenn
Well – I am ready to step back in and start again. Hopefully the markets have calmed down. Is there a consensus that the RSI is important to check? Cheers
Mark Rose
Hi Glenn,
We had 5 wins out of 5 last week and so far this week it’s 2 out of 2 with today’s trade still open, so Energy has been doing ok.
I think when the markets are difficult the RSI is a real help as it keeps you out of trades when the market looks over-bought or over-sold.
I definitely use RSI for my trades, I tend to set an alert to let me know when the RSI is below 40/above 60 and will normally get in around 35/30 or 65/70.

Mark Rose

Capital Spreads does work on the I-Phone—a good App. comes from Intertrader, which seems to be bullet proof–same spread on Diffs.
I have been using the ‘Differential’ since the update, with some success, although have stayed out more than in.
I have found that the RSI is critical, and ignore it at your peril.
Roy.

Hi All,
Had a loser today. I placed my sell trade at 07:05 (GMT) and the differential was already at -90. I had a 60 pip stop loss. The best I had was +2 pips all day and the odd break-even point. Stop loss hit at 18:25. I think the lesson for me is don’t enter a trade when the differential is already at a stretch. If I had entered 06:30 this morning, even though the differential was gathering a pace, I would have had a winner. Anyone with me ?.
Kind regards,
Phil.

MRP Energy has had a great start to the year, even more so since we launched the upgrade.
So far this year we’ve placed 31 trades.
25 have won, 6 have lost and we added 35.4% to our trading pot. Not bad in a little under two and a half months.
We are working hard on getting the new manual ready for this and MRP and hope to have them available again soon.
Apologies for the delays.
Kind regards,
Mark
Phil.
Hi All,
No losses at all this week.
One “no trade” day with a balance of 4 winning days.
Kind regards,
Phil.
Darin
Hi Phil. I’m glad to hear that. I’m looking at purchasing MRP Energy but have been holding off because Indices have been going through a bad patch-makes one a bit nervous about committing to another system using similar techniques. However I’ll proceed with more confidence now.
Siniša
Anybody else problems with Capital Spreads?
Neither can I log in on their website, nor does the app work properly, which I rely on. Since the update, the min. stakes an the app are 100 per point (weird) and my bank is x100 as well. I wish I could withdraw that. Because ot these technical issues I made a loss today on the Brent Crude Differential instead of a 30 pip profit, cause I took the trade to late. This is so annoying. There was no warning anywhere that the app may go crazy and one cannot place trades.
Phil. Jones
Hi Sinisa,
I have not been able to get the app working on my IPhone, but is functioning on my IPad. It does freeze however on occasions.
Kind regards,
Phil.

Today’s the day – MRP upgrade will be launched to the existing members this morning.

I have used the MRP Energy updated system, for two days.
I dislike the term ‘excited’, but regret that, for this little item, it is appropriate.
I will not declare my results, as probably tempting fate, but suffice to say my best two days, in the last seven years.
Just pure magic.
Roy.
Phil.
Hi, I like the simplification of the changes. Just be careful that the risk/reward may sting that with a 100 pip stop-loss will wipe out 4 25 profit take gains.
I am sorry to be a cynic, but I have lost so much money on systems that on the surface seem to show excellent gains only to be lost by the all important stop loss being triggered with regularity.
Now, this system is unbelievable to say the least. It’s overall performance makes other systems flawed. Can’t wait for the MPR update. I can now see that both systems complement each other and can of course offset the odd loss between them. Phil.
Mark Rose
Hi Phil,
Thanks for your comments and it’s ok to be a bit of a cynic!
I’m glad you like the upgrade to MRP Energy.
The upgrade hasn’t changed the risk reward ratio from the original, just now we can set the stop where before we had to monitor the 2 trades and manually close them. Hopefully this is an improvement as before there was the potential to be presented with a bit of a shock (or of course a pleasant surprise) when you opened your account to check how the trades were doing.
As Martin says, everybody needs to find there sweet spot and you might want to look a decreasing the stop to the lower end of the range, or increasing your profit target to the upper end of the range, or both!
You can also employ the trailing stops again to potentially reduce the risk and increase the rewards, so plenty of options.
Kind regards,
Mark Rose

Another good week for MRP Energy. 3 Trades placed and 3 wins bagged and new highs hit!
We’ve also launched the MRP Energy upgrade this week. Same hedged trades, just using a different instrument to place them on means we no-longer need to watch the trades, but can set a traditional stop loss and profit target.
All the existing members were sent the addendum document and we are updating the manual as we speak.
If you are interested in a set and forget strategy that takes just minutes in the morning, then you can put your name down to be one of the first to know about it on the link below;

Updated MRP Energy launched to existing members!
Glad to say the update in now live for the existing MRP Energy members and starting tomorrow we will be trading the new version.
We’ve put a hold on taking new orders for the moment as we are rewriting the manual to take the changes into account, but will let you know as soon as this is available.
Kind regards,
Mark Rose
P.S. The update to MRP should go live next week for those of you using just MRP.
Siniša
Hi Mark,
the new update looks good so far and sounds logic. Time will tell how it works out. If it’s better than the original, I have no complaints.
But with the new version, there is no hedging anymore. Isn’t this now just normal trading? Wasn’t the key principle for MRP to be always hedged and not exposed to the markets?
Mark Rose
Hi Sinisa,
I’m glad you like it, I’m sure it will make your trading even easier to do.
The new MRP Energy is still hedged as before, it’s just that you don’t see it.
If you watch the Brent and Nymax prices leaping about and compare this to the diff, you’ll see that the diff hardly moves in comparison.
This is because the diff is the hedged performance of the 2, so if Brent and Nymax shoot up 50 points each, the diff wouldn’t move as the 2 prices haven’t moved in relation to each other.
The only time the diff moves is when the 2 prices move closer together or further apart from each other.
So if Brent went up 3 points and Nymax down 3 points, the diff would increase by 6 points.
Hope that makes sense.
Kind regards,
Mark Rose

We can barely contain ourselves, the MRP Energy upgrade is launched tomorrow!
I can’t tell you how excited I am about this upgrade. Same brilliant system and performance, but no more need to monitor the trades.
If you are an existing MRP Energy member look out for Martin’s email at 10am tomorrow.
Kind regards,
Mark Rose

A good week this week for my MRP Energy trades.
3 trades signaled and all 3 won, bringing in 4.5% in the process.
Even more excitingly we will be sending the existing members the upgrade document that we’ve talking about next week.
This upgrade will mean we no longer have to monitor our trades during the day (this has been the main bug-bear we’ve had from clients), but can simply place them in the morning and leave them to play out.
Regards,
Mark Rose
Mark Rose
I’ve placed 12 MRP Energy trades so far this year.
9 have won 3 have lost and I am up 3.7% on my pot.
Admittedly, 2 losses last week has taken the shine of the performance (I closed my trade on Friday when I hit the loss limit Martin recommends), as I was up 8.95%, but this is all part of trading, you have to expect at some point to have some losing trades and sometimes losing weeks.
At the moment MRP is out performing MRP Energy, but I’ve no doubt in the near future the reverse will be true as both systems have the potential for long-term profits.
Regards,
Mark Rose
Phil. J.
Carrying a whopping loss into the weekend. If only the signal had been the reverse from the actual I would have been celebrating. When the losses come they can be massive. This is like financial snakes and ladders. If the new enhancement prevents this I’ll stick with it……..
Phil. J.
Had an awful day yesterday. Lost all of my gains from 6 trading days with a loss. I know that nothing is infallible, and expected a loss at some point but not much has been published about how big losses could be. Clawed back 30% of yesterdays loss today with an unusual high gain.
Mark Rose
Hi Phil,
I think you are going to enjoy the upgrade that is coming. Soon we will be able to set the stop loss and profit target, rather than relying on watching the trades, this will remove the risk of a big loss, although does also mean you won’t see the higher than average gain.
Depending on how often you can look at your account it is true that the current strategy is more volatile for those who aren’t able to check regularly, with the risk of bigger losses and of course bigger winner.
Regards,
Mark Rose
Phil. J.
Mark,
Thank you for your comments.
My sentiments entirely. Hope the upgrade comes soon. I’m interested to see how a hedged trade can have a stop loss mechanism.
Kind regards,
Phil.

Finished the year with 2 more winners, so not bad in the end for MRP Energy.
I’ve also got my hands on the new update that will be coming out early in 2014 and will be sharing this with the members as soon as I can as it is a complete no brainer.
It reduces that margin required to place the trades, meaning you can trade with a smaller pot.
It allows you to place stops and profit targets on the trades meaning you don’t need to monitor you’re trades during the day.
It gives you a technique to use to pinpoint a good entry and the option to trail your stop for greater profits if you want to
All in all, a giant leap forward – and I expect to see even bigger profits for less effort going into 2014, which can’t be a bad thing!
Regards,
Mark

only 1 trade this week on MRP Energy, which was a loss. Not quiet the Xmas present i was hoping for, but it’s still been a good end of year for Energy and there are some developments afoot that are going to make it even better and simpler to use in 2014.

4 wins and 1 trade rolled over this week on MRP Energy.

One win and one rolled over the weekend for MRPE this week.

Finished the week with 2 losses, which somewhat took the gloss of the recent performance.
Still an 83.33% win trade ratio is pretty much in line with what I’ve come to expect from MRP Energy (winning 10 out of the last 12 trades) with an overall profit of 10.29%, so no complaints here.

Mark

Made it to 10 winners in a row today. Been a great few weeks for MRP Energy.

A brilliant week this week for my MRP Energy trades.
I rolled one trade over from Friday last week, which I closed on Monday for a win and this was followed by 3 more trades all of which won.
All 4 were bigger than the average win netting an amazing 14.5% on the week!
Now don’t get me wrong this doesn’t happen every week (last week I was down 1.78%), but a great result nonetheless.
Regards,
Mark Rose

A small loss for me on MRP Energy this week. The trade I rolled from last week lost, but this was followed by 3 winners and I still have one trade open that I’ll roll into next week.
Overall down 1.78%

Hi Mark, Great to read about how well MRP Energy is doing.
I’ve been trading MRP Indices since June. The first 3 weeks almost every trade went against me! Bad market conditions, lack of experience and living in Oz (we’re asleep when the you guys and the market are awake!) conspired to sabotage things, almost resulting in me throwing the manual in the bin! However, with some modification of the MRP rules and a bit of teeth gritting it’s now doing very well and I’m loving it!. Nice consistent profitability.
So much so, I’m now also looking at MRP Energy. Again I anticipate having to modify things a little, but this correlation trading thing is a good bit of gear and so it’s worth persevering.
khall1948
Hi Darin. I too live in oz. What modifications did you have to make to the system to work best in Australia?
Christian
Hi Mark,
With 10 Pounds per point risk what is the total risk (how many points) on average ?
Mark Rose
Up to 9 winners in a row with MRP Energy now, did I say MRP was my favourite System?
Well MRP Energy comes in a close second!
That’s 3 wins out of 3 this week.

Hi San,
Wouldn’t it be great if you could make a 26% return per trade from a £1500 pot!
In truth though the % risk would be so high that you would only need a couple of losses to blow your entire fund.
I’m trading at around £10 per point.
Regards,
Mark
San
Hi Mark,
Could you please clarify whether your profits of £300+ & £400+ are based on £1500 pot as you mentioned in an earlier post. If yes, please indicate your stake for each trade.
Many thanks.

I’ve just closed today’s trade for a £411.20 profit.
Only 2 trades so far this week, but both have won.

More good news for MRP Energy this week.
It took less than 30 minutes this morning to close another winning trade for £374.
That 4 trades and 4 wins this week, which coupled with the 4 wins from MRP, makes it a very good week indeed!
All the best,

Whilst we’ve had a great week on MRP, closing 4 trades all as winners, it’s been a tougher week for MRP Energy and we are suffering a pull back.
Trading is like this and I really recommend trading the 2 side by side as it wasn’t long ago that MRP Energy was out performing MRP!
Only closed 2 MRP energy trades this week and both lost.
Here’s hoping for a return to normal next week.

Not a great week for MRP Energy this week.

Hi Vic,
My stats are;
started trading on the 17 April 2013
placed 69 trades
57 have been winners (82.60%)
12 have lost (17.40%)
Total profit £661.83 (66.18% return on £1000 pot).
Pretty impressive stuff.
